I found this unexpected image on a recent trip to Spain. I had been shooting all afternoon the wind turbine fields near the city of Burgos in the north. Just when I was returning in my rented car this large sheep flock appeared on the open road. From beyond the dusty scene the skinny figure of an old shepherd accompanied by his dogs shouted all kind of swear words trying to gather the animals. The sunset light gave the picture an even more surrealistic look besides the almost anachronistic circumstances.

Encontré esta inesperada imágen en un reciente viaje a España. Había estado tomando fotos de los campos de turbinas eólicas cerca de la ciudad de Burgos en el norte. Justo cuando estaba regresando en mi carro de alquiler este grande rebaño de ovejas apareció en la carretera destapada. Más allá de la polvorienta escena la figura delgada de un viejo pastor acompañado de sus perros gritaba toda clase de groserías tratando de reunir a sus animales. La luz del atardecer le dio a la foto un aire aún más surrealista además de las circunstacias casi anacrónicas.
